How to Cure Caries?

Wenyuan Shi from the University of California has developed a mouthwash that can kill bacteria threatening with caries.

The scientist and his colleagues have figured out how bacteria interact in their colonies, creating plaque on the teeth. Bacteria convert food particles into the acid, destroying the enamel and leading to tooth decay. The accumulation of plaque also leads to gum diseases and even tooth loss.

To combat the bacteria, the doctors have used a “specially targeted antimicrobial peptides» (STAMPs). They affect the bacteria that cause tooth decay, and do not affect other bacteria.

The technology is fundamentally different from antibiotics that kill all bacteria indiscriminately. The product has already been tested on 12 patients. They were offered to use a special mouthwash once in 4 days. It made significant reducing of the concentration of S.mutans possible.

Wenyuan Shi has already received a grant to conduct larger studies. The experts emphasize that even if the product enters the market, one will still have to brush one’s teeth.

Sheridan Smith strips: Gok Wan makes actress undress on stage

IT usually takes more than Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps to get Sheridan Smith to take her clothes off. But when it came to getting naked for charity, she gamely stripped to her knickers and suspenders.


The actress, recently cast as Bridget Jones in the forthcoming West End production, was “mortified” after being made to undress by TV stylist Gok Wan, her co-host at Sunday night’s West End Bares fund-raiser.

One guest said: “Sheridan really didn’t want to get her kit off but Gok took the mic and started chanting at her to do it in front of everyone. Sheridan felt she had to because money was at stake for charity. She was fairly mortified afterwards and ran off stage in a hurry. Gok has some making up to do.”

The event, at London’s Cafe de Paris, raised more than £35,000 for HIV/Aids charity the Make A Difference Trust.

Teachers’ Days are special days intended to recognize and appreciate teachers. While World Teachers’ Day is on the fifth day of October, each country celebrates Teachers’ Day on a day significant to their journey of education, or to celebrate the memory of a local educationist. In every region, this appreciation is shown in different ways, drawing from the specific cultures and traditions.

India: Gurudakshina is an age-old tradition of acknowledgment, respect, and gratitude, offered to teachers or gurus by students, after a period of study. The concept of Teachers’ Day, however, came to be celebrated with enthusiasm in honour of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India. On the 5th of September, teachers are presented with handmade cards, flowers, and homemade snacks. Sports events are held, where teachers and students get to play together. The students organize dramas, ethnic dancing, and storytelling as a tribute to their teachers. The teachers take the time to share their experiences with the students and are also reminded of what it feels like to be a student.

Indonesia: Teachers mould the lives they influence. Lessons learned in school remain with students for a long time and are not just restricted to subjects. BODY SCRUB:
Let start with skin exfoliation it is the important step in   beauty regimen. New cells replace the old ones and find place if   dead cell are sloughed off. For this the scrubbing is the essential step.
  • 2 tbs of ground ginger
  •  ½ tbs of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of almond or olive oil
Mix all contents and apply at the damp skin. Rub gently to remove the dead skin. After it take bath as usual.
  • ½ cup of finely ground almonds
  • ½ cup coarse wheat barns
  •  1 cup hot green tea
  • 5-10 drops of lavender oil
Mix the almond and bran and add the tea to make the paste. Stir it with adding the lavender  oil. Thoroughly blend the mixture. Use this mixture once in a week. DEODORANT POWDER:
  • ½ cup baking soda
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • Few drops of some essential oil as lavender or sage oil
Place the all ingredients in a jar after mixing. Sprinkle them on the damp clothes. Pat them but not to rinse.
  • DAILY USE ROSE CREAM:
  • 6  oz. Almond oil
  • 2 oz. Beeswax
  • 1 heaping tsp. anhydrous Lanolin
  •  1 tsp. Borax dissolved in 4 fl. oz. Rosewater
  • 2 tsp. Zinc Oxide rubbed into a smooth cream with 4 fl. oz. Almond oil
  • 10-20 drops oil of Rose
Heat the bees wax and lanoline in bowl, not to over heat, add almond oil and zinc oxide slowly in it .Now stir with borax and rose water. Pour in it the rose water oil and allow it to cool. Blend all with wooden spoon. When get cold allow it to solidify.

The tracks that were picked out by China’s Ministry of Culture and which may soon be deleted from all the music websites of the country number 100, in which Lady Gaga is represented by quite a few of her hits – Judas, Marry The Night, Bloody Mary, The Edge Of Glory, Americano, Hair. Kylie Minogue got onto the list for her two songs – Get Out Of My Way and All The Lovers.

The use of the word “mutha” got Beyoncé’s Run The World (Girls) onto the list, while Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night was considered to be immoral.

Bruno Mars fell into disgrace over his Grenade and Just The Way You Are.
But the strangest choice – and accusations of “vulgar content” – was Backstreet Boys’ old hit I Want It That Way that was found distasteful after more than 10 years of its release.

The ministry has warned that the songs on the list will be promulgated illegal and taken out from legal streaming and download sites unless timely submitted for government screening.

The British experts have conducted a new study, the results of which allowed calculating how much time women spend every day discussing other people.
As it turned out, a typical lady spends nearly a third of her wake time gossiping – 298 minutes per day which is equivalent to nearly five hours. In addition to the total amount of time that women devote to this occupation, the researchers have identified the most favorite topics for ladies to discuss.

Thus, it turns out that ladies spend about 24 minutes every day talking about their weight, diet and clothing sizes. One third of the participants of the study admit that they regularly discuss what they eat with friends and colleagues, and a quarter of all the respondents also exchange interesting recipes. As one of the leading authors of the study, Steve Barton, says, he and his colleagues did not expect food to be such a popular topic for women to discuss.

The weaker sex also likes to discuss makeup and various procedures, as well as the celebrities’ private life. Most often the women’s interlocutors are neighbors, shop assistants or even unknown women as, for example, in public transport.
